Slow Cooker Swedish Meatballs – Make your favorite Ikea food right at home with just a few simple ingredients! Frozen meatballs slow cooked in a creamy gravy sauce. This recipe is crock pot comfort food at it’s finest!
Slow Cooker Swedish Meatballs
My first time eating swedish meatballs (like many) was at Ikea. I was about 4 years old and I was at one of the brand new Ikea stores a few states over. They were perfectly warm and comforting. Since then, I have experimented with making them myself and home and this crock pot swedish meatball recipe has become a classic at my house.
Now traditional Swedish meatballs are homemade with spices and a 50-50 blend of beef and pork but since this recipe isn’t going for perfectly authentic, I use frozen meatballs. This is a simple 7 ingredient recipe that is meant to be as easy as possible so frozen meatballs really make it a whole lot easier. That being said, you are welcome to make homemade if you want to!
When I make this slow cooker swedish meatballs recipe, I like to serve it over either egg noddles or rice. It’s totally up to your preference!
